Her father Harmandar Singh Bhullar was a volleyball and basketball player. The Moga girl's idol is Virender Sehwag, and she follows his principle of 'see ball, hit ball'. She made her ODI debut against the arch-rival Pakistan on Mar 7, 2009. The all-rounder played her first T20 match against England at Taunton on Jun 11, 2009. Kaur has scored 2244 runs in ODI with an average of 34.52, and in T20s she has 1910 runs to her name.

1. 103(51) against New Zealand in the opening match of ICC Women's World T20 2018

Kaur reached 100 in just 49 balls, which is the first one scored by any Indian in women's T20. In this match, India went on to put up 194/5, thanks to Harmanpreet's ton. In reply New Zealand only managed to make 160/9, falling short by 34 runs.

2. Harmanpreet Kaur's 171* vs Australia (2017), Derby

Harmanpreet played an inning of her lifetime by striking a century against Aussies in the semi-final of ICC Women's World Cup. Her knock included 20 boundaries and seven maximums, which helped India put up a total of 281. In reply Australia  succumbed to defeat by just scoring 245.

3. Harmanpreet's inning of 34 (21) vs Surrey Stars

The all-rounder while playing for Lancashire Thunder hits a winning six on the penultimate ball of final over against Surrey stars to take her side home. Kaur kept herself composed and played a crucial hand for her side victory in ECB's Kia Super League.

4. Harmanpreet hits a six with injured wrist in the final over

The all-rounder became the finisher like MS Dhoni on Feb 21, 2017, at P.Sara Oval, Colombo. Kaur took her side home by hitting a maximum in the last over against South Africa. It was the final of ICC Women's Cricket World cup qualifier, where India needed 8 from 2 balls, and had only one wicket in hand.
