Hardik Pandya’s Father Comes to His Defence Following Koffee With Karan 6 Controversy

It seems like dad Himanshu Pandya is on a damage control mode for his son Hardik Pandya’s frivolous comments made on an episode of Koffee With Karan 6. Sr. Pandya, on Thursday, defended his son saying that the comments were made in a light-hearted manner and that his son is an innocent manner, asking people to not to read much into his comments.

However, it seems like dad’s attempt to tuck the muck under the carpet might open another can of worms for the under-fire Indian all-rounder. As per a report in Mid-Day, Himanshu Pandya said, “I don’t think people should read too much into his comments. Himanshu Pandya, the father of Hardik Pandya, went a step further ahead and said, “He was only looking to entertain the audience. So, it should not be viewed very seriously or negatively. He is an innocent boy with a very fun-loving nature.”

The comments by Hardik Pandya at a talk-show Koffee With Karan 6, this past week, didn’t go down well with the audience. Little did he know that his pseudo-cool nature on national TV would stoke such an outrage! KL Rahul, on the other hand, played it safe. Both Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul have been issued show-cause notices for their behaviour on the show. Hardik has come out with a public apology; however, Rahul seems to have remained silent.
