In his first match against New Zealand opened the bowling along with Umesh Yadav and got rid of players like Martin Guptill, Corey Anderson and wicketkeeper-batsman Luke Ronchi, As a result, the Kiwis got out on the paltry score of 190 runs and couldn’t even play for 50 overs. The team got bundled out by 43.5 overs. Pandya took to social media and shared the snap of himself getting the cap.

As of now, Hardik Pandya is recuperating from his back injury. He was last seen in acting during the T20I series against South Africa. Recently, the all-rounder underwent successful back surgery in London and is on rehabilitation to attain complete fitness.
