Hardik Pandya’s misogynist comments on Koffee With Karan (KWK) Season 6 show has hit the all-rounder’s image hard. Pandya not only, as of now, has lost a place in team India but a sponsorship deal as well. As per a report in the Times of India, men’s shaving razor Gillette Mach3 has suspended its association with the tainted all-rounder. Banned Hardik Pandya Ignores Waiting Fans Outside SCG, Under-Fire All-Rounder Walks Past Them Ahead of 1st IND vs AUS ODI in Sydney: Watch Video

"Hardik Pandya's recent comments do not reflect the values Gillette. We have suspended our association with Hardik until we decide on the further course of action," company’s spokesperson was quoted as saying by TOI.

While Pandya endorses around seven brands, KL Rahul, the other cricketer, who made an appearance on the controversial episode of KWK has deals with brands like Puma and Curefit. BCCI Suspends Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul Ahead of Ind vs Aus ODI Series, Troubled Duo Likely to Return Home

"As we have seen with celebrities such as Aamir Khan, who lost his endorsements after he made comments that did not go down well with a certain section of audience, or even Tiger Woods who got embroiled in a controversy, Pandya and Rahul's brand valuation may be impacted in the short run," TOI quoted Aviral Jain, MD of Duff & Phelps, which released a report on celebrity brand rankings, as saying.

"However if the BCCI decides to restrict cricketer's appearance at social events or talk shows, there maybe a bigger impact on the community," he added.  Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul May Be Suspended Over KWK 6 Controversy: 5 Players Who Can Replace the Tainted Duo in IND vs AUS ODI Series 2019.

BCCI on Friday suspended both Pandya and Rahul for their sexist remarks made on the famous celebrity talk show which is hosted by director-producer Karan Johar. The two cricketers have been suspended indefinitely and have been asked to return home from Australia.
