Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya underwent successful surgery for his back problem. The Indian cricketer shared a photo of himself on Instagram while lying in the hospital bed. Along with the post, Pandya informed that the surgery was successful and he will join the field soon. Many Indian cricketers were happy to hear about the news and they wished Pandya to get well soon. Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Shubman Gill, Krunal Pandya among other Indian cricketers sent their good wishes to Pandya on his Instagram post. The Indian all-rounder underwent the surgery in London, United Kingdom.
With thumps up gesture in the photo, Pandya wrote, “Surgery done successfully. Extremely grateful to everyone for your wishes will be back in no time ! Till then miss me”. Pandya suffered the issue in his lower back during Asia Cup 2018 in UAE. He was ruled out of the series then and later successfully played IPL 2019 and World Cup 2019. He was given rest during India’s tour of West Indies 2019 and inducted in the T20I series against South Africa. A BCCI official had earlier mentioned that Pandya will have to take long rest after the surgery and he may not be in action for five to six months. Pandya is certain to miss upcoming India vs Bangaladesh series 2019. He was also ruled out of the Baroda Team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20. Hardik is a crucial part of Team India filling the all-rounder slot. However, he will be out of action for longer period until he totally recovers after the surgery.
Meanwhile, India is taking on Sout Africa in the 1st Test at Visakhapatnam. The first Test witnessed debutant Mayank Agarwal hitting a double century. Rohit Sharma also played a magnificent innings of 176 runs as an opener in Test. At the stumps of Day 3, South Africa trailed by 117 runs.
