Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul controversy refuses to die down. With each passing day, the rage for cricketers has just escalated as the fans have constantly bashed Pandya and KL over sexist remarks on Koffee with Karan 6. The BCCI now only slapped the cricketers with show-cause notices but also issued a ban on both cricketers and have been asked to fly back to India from Australia. Now, once again the two cricketers have tendered unconditional apology to the seven-day show cause notice. "Yes, Hardik and Rahul have submitted their reply to the fresh show cause notices that were served to them. They have tendered an unconditional apology. Vinod Rai, the chairman of Committee of Administrators, has now asked Rahul Johri to intervene into the matter, who will submit his finding in less than 15 days. The new constitution put in place says that an ombudsman is to adjudicate the CEO's findings. It is during the Supreme Court Hearing on January 17, 2019, that an ombudsman could be appointed. Even the BCCI acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary has written to the BCCI state units for the appointment of an ombudsman. Choudhary has also called for a Special General Meeting.

Both the cricketers had appeared on the chat show Koffee with Karan where the duo made misogynistic comments which did not go down well with people. Hardik Pandya even lost a sponsor due to the same and has already apologised twice before this.
