Harbhajan Singh Questions BCCI, ‘Why is Rishabh Pant Not in Asia Cup 2018 Squad?’

Debutant Rishabh Pant who has so far done extremely well with the bat and has fitted well into the shoes of Dinesh Karthik who could not do much during the test series. However, the young man was under the scanner for putting up a dismal performance in the previous two games. But, yesterday, on the last day of the test match at the Oval, he silences all the critics by hitting a century.
KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant kept India’s hopes alive by scoring 149 and 114 respectively. But their centuries could not save the game as India lost by 118 runs. However, Pant’s performance has not gone unnoticed and young lad garnered heaps of praises for the knock. England beat India by 118 runs
So much, that even Harbhajan Singh questioned the BCCI not letting him travel to UAE for the Asia Cup 2018 which begins from September 15, 2018. Bhajji took to Twitter and while responding to one of the netizens he said, “Why is he not in the ODI squad for the Asia cup ??? his game is suited more for that format.”
Talking about the match yesterday, James Anderson got three wickets and surpassed Glenn McGrath to claim 564th wicket. The English pacer became the most successful fast bowler in Test cricket. Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan still holds the record for clinching 800 wickets. Australia’s Shane Warne features on number two with 708 wickets whereas India’s Anil Kumble is on number 3 with 619 wickets.
