Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan celebrates his 35th birthday on Monday. Born on October 27, 1984, Pathan is one of the best all-rounders produced by Indian. Hailing from Baroda, the cricketer has the ability to swing the new ball both ways and is also a handy batsman lower down the order. Be it his hattrick against Pakistan in Karachi or his 'Man of the Match' performance in the 2007 World T20 final, the left-arm seamer has delivered many memorable spells in his stupendous career. To date, Pathan has represented India in all three formats and has proved his mettle in every version too. The all-rounder made his international debut in December 2003. The all-rounder has taken 100 wickets and scored 1105 runs in 29 Test matches. In ODIs, Pathan has registered 1544 runs and 173 wickets in 120 clashes. While in T20 Internationals, the cricketer has mustered 172 runs and scalped 28 wickets in 24 outings. 5/61 Against Pakistan in Karachi

The left-arm seamer bowled a magical spell in the third Test of 2006 Tour of Pakistan and left the opposition awestruck. Pathan did an amazing display of swing bowling and took a hat-trick in the very first over of the match. The bowler went on to take two more wickets and bagged a brilliant five-fer. Unfortunately, a dismal performance by the Indian batsman led to the team's downfall and they lost the match by 341 runs.

3/16 Against Pakistan in Johannesburg

In the all-important 2007 World T20 final, the left-arm quick bowled a splendid spell and sealed the game for the Men in Blue. Defending 157 in the second innings of the match, Pathan went through Pakistan's middle order and took the game away from them. As a result, India won the match by five runs and Pathan was adjudged the Man of the Match.

5/61 Against Sri Lanka in Pallekele

Another Pathan's brilliance came in the 5th ODI of India's 2012 Tour of Sri Lanka. Batting first India piled up 294 runs and the pitch seemed batting-friendly. However, Pathan took the ball in the second innings and rattled the star-studded Sri Lankan batting line-up. The pacer took wickets at regular intervals and bagged a match-winning five-wicket haul. 102 Against Pakistan in Bengaluru

The junior Pathan had a knack of performing against Pakistan but not just with the ball, with the willow too. In the third Test of Pakistan's 2007 Tour of India, the southpaw displayed some terrific hitting and registered his maiden Test ton. During the course of his innings, the batsman mustered 10 boundaries and four massive sixes. The match, however, ended in a draw but Pathan proved his mettle with the bat in hand too.

83 Against Sri Lanka in Nagpur

In the first ODI of Sri Lanka's 2005 Tour of India, Pathan came to bat at number three and the latter justified the decision. After the early departure of Virender Sehwag, the southpaw came into bat and attacked the bowlers from the outset. The left-handed batsman smashed the likes of Chaminda Vaas and Muttiah Muralitharan to register a blistering half-century. Pathan made 83 off mere 70 balls and powered the Men in Blue to a massive score of 350 in the first innings. While chasing, the Sri Lankan batting line-up tumbled and lost the match by 152 runs.

After tormenting the opposition in the cricket field, Pathan has decided to try his hand in acting and will feature in a South film. Apart from that, the all-rounder has also donned the commentator's hat and was the part of the expert panel in the recently concluded India vs South Africa Test series.
