Pakistan bowler Hassan Ali, who turned 25 today, thanked his country's Prime Minister Imran Khan for a precious gift he received from him recently. The right-arm bowler was chosen as a member under national youth council by the government of Pakistan and being pleased over the same, the pacer thanked former Pakistan cricketer in a video on his Twitter account.

In the video, Ali thanked Pakistan PM for choosing him for such a big responsibility. Assuring to give his best, the Pak cricketer said that he is proud to get such a crucial opportunity. “Thank you PM @ImranKhanPTI for selecting me in national youth council and putting me with so many big names. I promise to give my best to my country always in sha Allah,” read the caption of the video. Premier birthday gift for Hassan Ali

The National Youth Council of Pakistan has been created for the first time by the present Pakistan Government under PM Imran Khan, who is also a former cricketer and helped Pakistan to clinch Cricket World Cup trophy in 1992. Ali, who celebrates his birthday today (July 2), is part of Pakistan's squad in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, but he has not able to show decent performance in the tournament.

Ali has played only four matches for Pakistan out of total eight matches in the tournament so far and bagged two wickets. Ali was the star of Champions Trophy 2017, where he won the player of the series trophy for bagging 13 wickets in the league. Pakistan had defeated India by 180 runs in Champions Trophy 2017 final.
