Pandya shared a photo of himself with his pet dog, calling him his best friend. Meanwhile, Pandya is not going to be part of India’s tour of West Indies 2019 as he has been given rest by selectors. MS Dhoni, who made himself unavailable for the tour, will also be absent during India vs West Indies 2019 series. The tour will begin on August 3, 2019 with the first T20. The tour consists of three T20s, three ODIs and two Tests. Rishabh Pant has been selected as the wicket-keeper in all the three series.

Virat Kohli will be leading the ODI, Test as well as the T20 side during the tour. Cricketer Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey have also been given a call as Team India try to find a reliable middle-order batsman. The last time, India and West Indies played a bilateral series in 2018. The tour comprised of Tests, ODIs and T20 series and the Indian side emerged victorious in all of them. India also defeated West Indies in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 by 125 runs.
