Discarded Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has been slammed for his’ double standards’. Gambhir in one of his tweets criticised BCCI, CoA, and CAB for allowing tainted former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin to ring the bell before the first T20I between India and West-Indies at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Gambhir took to Twitter to express his views regarding BCCI’s zero-tolerance policy and was clearly unhappy why BCCI invited Azharuddin. IND vs WI T20I Series: Gautam Gambhir Slams BCCI, CoA and CAB As Mohammad Azharuddin Rings Bell at Eden Gardens

Now, the left-handed batsman is at the receiving end himself and is being alleged of double standards. Renowned journalist, G Rajaraman, tweeted a picture of Gambhir sharing the stage with Azharuddin along with Wasim Akram, Virender Sehwag, and Shoaib Akhtar. The picture is of an event which was held in 2014.

Pertinent to mention that Azharuddin was banned for life by BCCI for his alleged involvement in the match-fixing scandal in 2000 and 2012, the ban was overturned by the Andhra High Court. Gautam Gambhir Steps Down as Delhi Captain Ahead of Ranji Trophy 2018-19; Tweets, 'Time to Pass Captaincy Baton to Youngsters!'
