Yesterday, the Indian cricket team suffered from a massive blow as opener Shikhar Dhawan’s thumb injured caused his ouster from the Cricket World Cup 2019.  Dhawan had suffered from a fractured thumb during the contest against Australia after being hit by Pat Cummins’ delivery. Despite this, Dhawan completed his century but did not step on to the ground for the second innings. Rishabh Pant who is already in England has been named as the official replacement of Dhawan. Disappointed netizens labelled this as a massive blow for the Indian cricket team. Now, Gautam Gambhir took to social media and shared a heartfelt post for Gabbar.  Shikhar Dhawan Has an Emotional Message for Fans After Thumb Injury Rules Him Out of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Watch Video.

He also urged the fans to not pressurise Rishabh Pant who has just stepped into Shikhar Dhawan’s shoes. The former Indian cricketer also sent good wishes to Dhawan and said that the injury does not mark the end of the world. After getting injured, Dhawan missed out on the match against Pakistan. The left-hander was then rushed to the hospital for the scans which did not reveal about the fracture. The MRI had other results to display. It was yesterday in the evening that Shankar Basu addressed the press and spoke about Shikhar Dhawan’s ouster from the World Cup 2019. The Indian opener even posted an emotional video for his fans on social media and thanked them for their constant support.
