Gautam Gambhir

The second-highest run-scorer in the tournament and India's top scorer. He led the charge for India with 227 runs in six innings at an average of 37.83 and a strike rate of almost 130 with three fifties. Yuvraj Singh

He scored 148 runs in five innings at an average of over 29, with a massive strike rate of 194.73, with two fifties. He also took one wicket.

MS Dhoni

The Indian skipper was not only a great leader, but also led the team from the front with some much needed cameos from his willow. He was India's second-highest run-getter, with 154 runs in six innings at an average of 30.80 and a strike rate of over 128. His best score was 45 against South Africa in a must-win game and also blasted 36 in 18 against Australia in the semis.

Rohit Sharma

Barely a 20-year-old youngster breaking into the team, Rohit starred in India's most important matches, be it a half-century against South Africa in a must-win match or his quickfire 30* in 16 balls against Pakistan in the final, the 'Hitman' of the future gave fans a glimpse of his hitting abilities. He scored 88 runs in three innings.

RP Singh

The pacer took 12 wickets in six matches at an average of 4/13, which came in a must-win game against South Africa. He also took 3/26 against Pakistan in the final to finish as India's leading wicket-taker and overall second.

Irfan Pathan

India's second-highest wicket-taker with 10 wickets and best bowling figures of 3/16, which came in the final and included key scalps of Shoaib Malik and Shahid Afridi.
