MS Dhoni has truly been loved by all. His fans have stood by him during his ups and downs and why not? There have been many moments which Dhoni gave us goosebumps as we celebrated India’s victory. MS Dhoni made his debut against Bangladesh on December 23rd 2004 and since then has never looked back. He was made the captain of the side in 2007 and became the only captain to win the T20I World Cup, 2011 World Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy. As we celebrate 15 years of the wicket-keeper batsman, let have a look at five best moments on MS Dhoni.

  • Lifting the T20I World Cup in 2007

Now any Indian would actually make this as the first pick while selecting five best moments by MS Dhoni. India was touted as the underdog especially with new players and of course the format of the game was also new. India clinched the trophy in the inaugural edition and scripted history. The match was the icing on the pie especially because of the fact that India beat Pakistan by five runs in the final at Johannesburg.

  • Commonwealth Bank Series, 2008

Winning in Australia has been a mammoth task but MS Dhoni’s team made it possible by winning the ODI series Down Under. India won the series 2-0.

  • India Beat Sri Lanka to Win the 2011 World Cup

Now, who does not remember the last six that MS Dhoni slammed at the Wankhede Stadium and sent the entire nation into a tizzy? The Men in Blue won the World Cup after 28 years and Dhoni’s men scripted history yet again. India beat Sri Lanka seven wickets.

  • ICC Champions Trophy 2013

MS Dhoni added yet another feather to his blistering hat by beat England in the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 at Birmingham. India won the low scoring game by five runs. All thanks to the bowling effort from Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ishant Sharma who snapped two wickets each.

Once again MS Dhoni continued to make India proud by winning the Asia Cup 2016 as they played against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium.
