The hosts went on to beat the KKR by 9 wickets and five overs to spare. All thanks to David Warner and Jonny Bairstow who went on to stitch 131 runs for the side. Kolkata Knight Riders went on to drop three catches during the match which was one of the major cause of the team losing the game. After the game,  Dinesh Karthik said, “I think 160 was a par score on this wicket if we'd bowled well. I think they (Warner and Bairstow) batted really well but our fielding cost us. And after that dropped catch he (Bairstow) came at us all guns blazing. A wicket of Bairstow would have felt better, feel for the guy (Yarra Prithviraj). We have been outplayed in this game.” Dinesh Karthik and men will play their next game against the Rajasthan Royals on Thursday.
