He also created the record of hitting most sixes in an ODI inning by hitting a total number of 17 sixes. Previously the record was held by Rohit Sharma, AB De Villiers and Chris Gayle with 16 sixes in a single inning. England has posted a mammoth total of 397/6 in 50 overs. There were contributions from many English batsmen in today's game like Jonny Bairstow scored 90 runs and  Joe Root scored 88 as he missed on his third hundred in this World Cup. England will look to wrap up Afghan side early and strengthen up their run rate tremendously. England after this victory has the potential of moving to number one position on the point table.

England skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to bat against Afghanistan in their fifth World Cup fixture at the Old Trafford on Tuesday. England has made two changes in their playing XI as James Vince and Moeen Ali replaced the injured Jason Roy and Liam Plunkett. Afghanistan has made three changes to their line-up. After winning the toss, Morgan said, "We will bat first. Unfortunately, Jason Roy misses out, it's a used wicket, they have done magnificently well to prepare the pitch, looks like a good wicket, played well the other day, carry for the seamers and turn for the spinners. Two changes, one forced, Vince replaces Roy and Moeen is back, in for Liam Plunkett."

England will play against Australia on June 25, 2019, while Afghanistan will be seen in action next against India on June 22 at Southampton. England is looking strong to lift World Cup 2019 trophy and their match against India on June 30 at Birmingham will be the game to watch out for.
