Pitch Report: It is the same pitch where England has twice broken the record for highest ODI scores, the most recent being the 481/6 they scored against Australia last year. Trent Bridge for a long time has been a batsman’s paradise. The pitch is expected to be flat – not a bowler’s day for sure – with runs coming galore. But in the match between West Indies and Pakistan, there was signs of some early movement of the ball.  Surprisingly, England captain Eoin Morgan stated at the pre-match conference that the pitch looked slightly different from what he had expected. Both sides have traded opposite directions in their opening match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. But in the five-match ODI series between them, records of runs and totals were registered. Pakistan became the first side to post three consecutive 340+ scores, while England became the first side to chase it down. The hosts went a step ahead and posted another 300+ against the Africans. But Pakistan bowed down to a barrage of bouncers from West Indies and with the likes of Jofra Archer in their ranks, England might tread the same path.
