The "Soldier Salute" man and West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell, who celebrates every wicket he takes by saluting in soldier style, taught some of his tricks to children in an academy. The school kids in Nottingham got a masterclass from the pacer himself. Talking to the BBC about his customary salute, Cottrell said, “It’s a military-style salute. I’m a soldier by profession. Me saluting is just to show my respect to the Jamaica Defence Force.” He added that he practiced it for six months while he was undergoing the military training.
