Moeen Ali picked up four wickets to help restrict Australia to 205 in 34.4 overs with Darcey Short top scoring for the visitors with 47. England’s chase was not smooth sailing but Jos Butler held the fort with a brilliant century to guide his team to a two-wicket victory. But, England came out all guns blazing with an 83 ball 101 from opener Jason Roy which set the platform for an easy six-wicket win. Jonny Bairstow was brilliant to in his knock of 79.

England vs Australia – 19th June 2019 – Trent Bridge, Nottingham – England won by 242 runs

England reached the highest ODI score in the history of the format, piling on 481/6 with massive tons from Jonny Bairstow and Alex Hales. Eoin Morgan chipped in with a 30 ball 67 towards the tail end to complete the rout. Adil Rashid’s four wickets were enough to ensure the hosts won by 242 runs.

England vs Australia – 16th June 2018 – Sophia Gardens, Cardiff – England won by 38 runs

Another day and another brilliant batting performance from the home side. This time, they reached 342/8 powered by a century from a Jason Roy. Australia responded well to the challenge dished out to them with Shaun Marsh hitting 131. Post his dismissal, they fluffed the lines and went on to lose the game by 38 runs.

England vs Australia – 13th June 2018 – Kennington Oval, London – England won by 3 wickets

It is very rare for Kennington Oval in London to offer something for the bowlers but it was just the case when England and Australia met in the series opener. Moeen Ali and Liam Plunkett shared six wickets between them to put a put stop to Australia’s innings at 214. England chased down the target with three wickets in the shade.
