Just like every major Test playing nation, New Zealand has its domestic T20 league as well. New Zealand’s T20 cricket tournament is known as Super Smash. Dream11 is the sponsor of Super Smash this season. The Dream11 Super Smash men’s T20 league features six teams. The 2019-20 Super Smash is underway and began on December 13, 2019. The Dream11 Super Smash T20 will end on January 19, 2020. The Super Smash T20 league will feature 32 matches, including playoffs and final. The tournament is based on the round-robin format. Teams will face-off each other twice and then the top three teams on the Dream11 Super Smash 2019-20 points table will advance to the playoffs. The second and third-placed teams will lock horns in the Preliminary final and then the winner will meet table topper in the final. As per the format, each team has been allotted ten first-round matches.

Central Stags enter the tournament as the defending champions in the men’s competition as they defeated Canterbury Kings in the finals last season by 67 runs. The six teams competing in the Super Smash 2019-20 are- Knights, Auckland Aces, Central Stags, Wellington Firebirds, Canterbury Kings, and Otago Volts. Ben Stokes Named BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2019.
