An actor who has been the talk of the town recently, Vikrant Massey, has opened up on wanting to act as former India wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik in case the cricketer's biopic is ever made. The 39-year-old has played 180 internationals for India between 20024 and 2022, where the keeper-batter has amassed 3,463 runs with one hundred and 17 fifties. Interestingly, Karthik featured in one match for the ICC World XI in 2018. Karthik won the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup with India under MS Dhoni's leadership in 2007, and since then played the 2010 and 2022 editions as well.

Karthik was also part of India's 2013 ICC Champions Trophy-winning team, which beat England in a nail-biting thriller in the final by five runs. Since retiring from professional cricket, Karthik has made a name for himself in the commentary box, where his insight and banter with fellow commentators and players have gained huge popularity amongst fans.
