Dinesh Karthik celebrates his 34th birthday. The wicketkeeper-batsman, who was picked for the Indian World Cup squad amidst controversial circumstances, was wished by his close friend Hardik Pandya on social media. Mentioning Karthik as his “happy soul” Pandya sent his wishes for Karthik. The Kolkata Knight Riders skipper has been in good form in the last two years. Mainly playing the finisher’s role, Karthik has guided India to important victories. The most important of them all has been the 2018 Nidahas Trophy where Karthik smashed an eight-ball 29 to guide India to an improbable victory. The right-handed batsman was also wished by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), who posted a short video clip of the birthday boy showing what is stored inside a cricket kit bag. Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) also wished their skipper a great year ahead.
