Former India legend Sachin Tendulkar Participated in the Hong Kong Sixes Tournament back in 1995 and thrashed Sri Lanka in a Group match. Sachin Tendulkar first featured in the competition in 1993.

With the return of the iconic Hong Kong Sixes competition, fans have flooded social media with old clips in which several legends participated for respective nations. One such viral video is of one of India's most cherished cricketers - Sachin Tendulkar, who participated in the Hong Kong Sixes tournament as early as 1993. India needed 69 off five overs and had a solid line-up with batters like Mohammed Azharuddin, Ajay Jadeja, and Sanjay Manjrekar, along with bowlers such as Salil Ankola and Venkatesh Prasad. Vinod Kambli did not play in this match but was in the seven-member squad. Despite good form, Tendulkar failed in the plate final against West Indies, scoring just 5 as India went on to beat their opponents by 33 runs. Meanwhile, India makes a return to the Hong Kong Sixes tourney after 12 years, having last played in 2012. India have only managed to win the competition once in 2005, when the Men in Blue were led by former all-rounder Robin Singh, and had players like Sanjay Bangar, Reetinder Sodhi, Hrishikesh Kanitkar, Nikhil Chopra, and Sunil Joshi.
