Ajinkya Rahane turned 30 yesterday. Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar wished the Rajasthan Royals’ captain on a special day. Indian captain Virat Kohli also sent him greeting on his birthday. But the tweet had much more than mere birthday wishes. The captain dropped hints about Rahane’s section for the upcoming series. RR skipper could not seal the berth in the limited over series of India tour to England.
Virat took to Twitter and wrote, “The overseas season is about to start and here's wishing one of the finest we've got, @ajinkyarahane88, a very Happy Birthday Jinx. Keep playing those crucial knocks!."

Ajinkya Rahane’s name is featured in the one-off test matches against Afghanistan which is slated to begin on June 14, 2018, at Bengaluru. India will be touring England for three ODIs, three T20s and five test matches. The right-handed batsman is not really bothered about missing out on the limited overs format. Instead, he said that this will give him more time for preparing himself for the future. "It is important that you get time to prepare yourself and clarity is important when you know that you are not in ODI squad and you just going to play Test matches in England," Rahane said to a newspaper.
