Of late David Warner and Steve Smith have been in the news for being booed by the fans in England. Now yesterday during the CWC 2019 game between England and Australia, it seems the Australian opener had got into a heated verbal spat with Ricky Ponting. In a video that surfaced online, David Warner is seen having an animated discussion with Ponting. Steve Smith was also around when the two got into an argument with each other. AUS beat ENG by 64 runs. 

So the video starts with Ricky Ponting making his way into the balcony of Lord’s where Warner and Smith are having a hearty laugh. Suddenly Ponting says something and the Australian opener gets riled up. From his gestures, it seems that he is quite angry with the discussion. The on-field cameras did not fail to capture the moment and were further shared on social media. We do not know what exactly Ponting said to invite this kind of a reaction from the Aussie opener. Talking about Warner’s performance yesterday in the game, the Aussie opener scored 53 runs from 61 balls and gave a good start to the team along with captain Aaron Finch. With this half-century, Warner became the first batsman to reach the 500-run mark in 2019 World Cup. Australia won the game by 64 runs and reclaimed the number one position on the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 points table.
