Delhi Court Issues Bailable Warrant Against Gautam Gambhir; Former Cricketer Presents his Side on Twitter
The Delhi Court yesterday issued a bailable warrant against Gautam Gambhir in a case relating to real estate fraud. The former cricket was the brand ambassador of Rudra Buildwell Reality Pvt. Ltd, a real estate firm which has been accused of accused of cheating, misappropriation and conspiracy of a huge sum of money.

Despite investments from customers in Delhi NCR, the project was not delivered on time. Gambhir had to face legal hassles as the company collected the money on behalf of the cricketer.
Gambhir did not appear for the case repeatedly even after rejection of his revision plea. Now, the former cricketer took to Twitter and explained his side of the story. Gambhir went on to say that he could not make an appearance in the court due to professional reasons. “Since last evening there’ve been media reports about bailable warrants issued against me for not appearing before the Court.I’d like to clarify that dates for an appearance in Court coincided either with my playing commitments for Delhi Ranji Team and/or other professional reasons,” read the first tweet. He also clarified that he was only the brand ambassador of the company.
“.and an Additional Director (for a short while), of the said real estate company named M/s Rudra Buildwell Realty Pvt. Ltd. Maybe this is the price I’ve had to pay and it seems that some vested interests and publicity mongers joined in to publicize the news,” read another tweet.
He also said that the allegations are against its owners only.
Gambhir said that he never had any control over the actions of the owners.
Gambhir hung his boots from all forms of cricket on December 4. The opener 58 Test matches and 147 ODIs for India scoring 4154 runs and 5238 runs respectively in the two formats. Recently he was in the news for slamming the Indian coach Ravi Shastri.
