Delhi Capitals bought some prominent overseas T20 players in the 2020 IPL players auctions and have tried to build a strong squad for the forthcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Caribbean batsman Shimron Hetmyer was their most expensive buy as he bagged a whopping 7.75 crores from the side.  Along with that, England’s dashing opener Jason Roy is all set to play for the Capitals while his teammate Chris Woakes is also included in the Shreyas Iyer-led team. Both went to the side for a price of 1.5 crores. While Australian wicket-keeper Alex Carey bagged 2.4 crores in the auctions. With the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer already in the ranks, the side already had a strong contingent of Indian players and now, they have also got some brilliant overseas players. Royal Challengers Bangalore Team in IPL 2020.

So far, the Delhi side have not won a single title in the tournament and will hunt for their maiden triumph. With Woakes included in the side, Capitals have certainly got a good player to fill the all-rounder's spot. However, they already had the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane in the side and it will be interesting to see, how Jason Roy will be used. Also, another thing to watch out for will be whether Rishabh Pant will continue donning the gloves or Carey will get the chance. Mumbai Indians Team in IPL 2020.
