Mumbai, August 22: The Maharashtra ATS arrested a person from Assam who threatened to kill Indian cricketers. The person has been identified as Braja Mohan Das and he allegedly sent an email to the BCCI saying that he would kill Indian cricketers, reported news agency ANI. Pakistan Cricket Board Receives Terror Alert Email Against Team India Playing in West Indies, Informs ICC: Pak Media.

The accused was arrested on August 20 and brought to Mumbai on transit remand. Later, the man was produced in the court on Wednesday and has been remanded to police custody till August 26.

The police is trying to find out if the man acted independently or was motivated by any external agency. Investigations are also underway to ascertain if the mail sent had any connection to the threat alert received earlier.

The Indian Cricket Team is currently on Carribean tour where the team has already played three-match T20I and ODI series. They won both formats by 3-0 against the home team.

The team will now play West Indies in the Tests. Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) received an alert mail of possible terror attack on Indian Cricket Team in West Indies. PCB acted responsibly and reported the case to ICC. However, there was no official confirmation of this from Pakistan, BCCI or the ICC.
