Delhi Capitals defeated Kings XI Punjab by five wickets at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi. The win is Delhi’s sixth this season and second at home. Chasing 164, Delhi Capitals reached the target in the last over with two balls and five wickets to spare. Captain Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten half-century to guide his side home. Delhi Capitals did lose few quick wickets towards the end but captain Iyer stood tall and made sure his side collect the two valuable points. The right-handed batsman scored 58 off 49 balls and slammed five fours and a six during his stay.

Delhi Capitals have struggled to win at home and now the victory will boost their confidence ahead. The Delhi captain also praised senior batsman Dhawan. “Dhawan is playing fearless cricket right throughout the season and that's helping us. Either of the top four batsman has to stay there till the end and take the team through.
