David Warner’s Wife, Daughters Join Victory Celebrations at Edgbaston Stadium After Australia Defeat England in Ashes 2019 1st Test (See Pics)

It was the dream day for David Warner and Steve Smith who played their first Test in Ashes 2019 after their one year ban over the infamous ball-tampering scandal. The happiness multiplied with the spectacular victory over England and David Warner celebrated with his family on Edgbaston cricket stadium. Australia defeated England by 251 runs in the first Test of Ashes 2019. Australian players were too happy to outplay the World Cup 2019 champions on their own soil. It was an extraordinary moment for Warner’s family, who saw him in the white jersey after a long time. The Australian opener’s wife Candice Falzon and daughters came to cherish the moment at the Edgbaston cricket ground. Warner was seen playing with his daughters on the ground after the spectacular Australia’s victory. ICC shared the photos of the moment on their Instagram handle. David Warner could not excel with the bat though, getting dismissed at 2 and 8 in first and second innings respectively. Steve Smith and David Warner were banned for one year from cricket for engaging in the ball-tampering scandal in 2018 during South Africa tour. Cameroon Bancroft was another player involved in the controversial act and banned for nine months. All three of them used sandpaper to tamper the ball during the tour. Steve Smith and David Warner returned to the national team before World Cup 2019.

Meanwhile, England vs Australia 1st Test of Ashes 2019 at Edgbaston saw Australia dominating the hosts. Although England managed a lead of 90 runs after the first innings, Australia smashed massive 487-7 in the 2nd innings to keep a 498-run target for England. England batsmen collapsed to Australia’s bowling and were bowled out for 146. Nathan Lyon took 6 wickets and Pat Cummins bagged 4 wickets in the second innings to keep England out of reach from victory. Steve Smith, who played an astonishing knock of 144 and 142 in the match, was awarded player of the match.
