Apart from the trio, Australian selectors have named wicket-keeper batsman Mathew Wade. With Tim Paine captaining the side, Wade might play as a specialist batsman. Wicket-keeper Alex Carey, who did well in the World Cup, was unlucky to miss out.

Interestingly, Australia’s squad is pace dominant with Nathan Lyon as the only spinner. All-rounder Mitchell Marsh despite missing out on a central contract has been named in the squad.
