David Warner just can’t put a foot wrong at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The Australian opening batsman, who was widely praised for giving away his Player of the Match trophy to a young fan of his after Australia’s victory over Pakistan, won more hearts with another gracious gesture on Saturday. In a brilliant gesture, Warner gifted net bowler Jaykishan Plaha an autographed Australian cricket team jersey ahead of the AUS vs SL match at the Oval Cricket Ground. David Warner Makes a Young Fan’s Day by Giving Him His Player of the Match Award After Scoring a Comeback Century in AUS vs PAK CWC19 Game; Watch Video.

In a short video posted by ICC Cricket World Cup on its official social media handle, Warner can be seen gifting Jaykishan a signed Australia jersey. The two also shared some words between themselves with Jaykishan wishing Warner luck for the match against Sri Lanka. “I hope you get a century,” says Jaykishan in the video.

Australia skipper Aaron Finch had earlier mentioned that Warner was obviously pretty shaken up” after the incident. Maybe the Australian opening batsman will be a little relieved after seeing Jaykishan fine and up.

Meanwhile, Australia has won the toss and elected to bat first against Sri Lanka. Led by a mammoth personal score from captain Finch, Australia are on its way to piling up a big total on board. The five-time champions with three victories from four matches are placed third in the point standings. New Zealand led the points table.
