David Warner had to experience an awkward and forgettable moment for himself when he was stopped at the Los Angeles airport during a mandatory security check. The cricket star was returning back to Australia along with his wife Candice after he had attended the wedding between Australian actor Dominic Purcell and Miley Cyrus' mother on August 25. However, he was stopped by security after the metal detector had detected something on his body and beeped. The 36-year-old was taken for a full-body scan which left the cricketer in shock and others present at the airport in splits. Temba Bavuma Pulls Off Remarkable Catch To Dismiss Tim David During SA vs AUS 1st T20I 2023 (Watch Video).

According to Candice, the big screen attached to the scanner showed a hotspot on Warner's private parts. As quoted by Rush Hour Triple M, an Australian radio station, Candice said, "David went through the first one where you walk through and it started beeping. So, they (security) then ushered him to the full body scanner. He puts his arms up and it beeps again. The security man came up to him and said, ‘Look, we are going to have to sort this out’. But I was left confused wondering what is going on downstairs or what is going on with my husband’s package."

She however clarified that the couple were then cleared to leave and they could catch the flight back home to Australia. A doctor at the radio station later stated he might have had a piercing on his private part, which could have led the metal detector to beep and show the hotspot but Candice immediately declined the idea.
