Dale Steyn Picks Virat Kohli, Ab de Villiers and Quinton de Kock As His Favourite Batsmen (See Tweet)

South African speedster Dale Steyn has given nightmares to many prominent batsmen and will certainly go down as one of the best bowlers to have graced the game. So, being the favourite batsman of a bowler with such a great stature is not a small thing and the pacer has revealed the lot of batsmen whom he likes to watch. Virat Kohli, Ab de Villiers and Quinton de Kock are the three batsmen picked by the proteas bowler and they certainly are one of the best in the business. Well, the speedster recently bagged 2.0 crores from Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the  IPL 2020 player’s auction and will be playing with De Villiers and Kohli. Dale Steyn Believes Indian Pace Attack Is Currently Best in Test Cricket.

The 36-year old revealed his choice during a question/answer session on the social media website on Twitter. A user asked Steyn “who is your favourite batsmen???” and the latter replied “QDK, Ab, Virat.” The right-arm pacer has played a lot of cricket with these batsmen and knows them quite closely. De Villiers and De Kock have played alongside Steyn in the national side while the pacer has shared the dressing room with the Indian captain during the Indian Premier League.

Steyn, who announced his Test retirement earlier this year, was last seen in action during the Mzansi Super League 2019 and the pacer looked in top knick in the tournament. He will be rejoining RCB in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League and the veteran must seek to leave a significant mark there. He has also been out of favour from the national side and a good show in IPL might earn him a spot in the South African squad for ICC T20 World Cup 2020.
