CSK vs SRH IPL 2018 Finals Video Highlights: SRH’s Sandeep Sharma and Siddharth Kaul Dampen IPL 11 Dreams for the Team
Cricket is truly a game of uncertainties.
Cricket is truly a game of uncertainties. But certainly not so much that you jointly concede more than half of the runs the opponent. So here’s what happened in the IPL 2018 Finals between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. After a bit of a drama during the toss, Chennai Super Kings elected to bowl. Sunrisers Hyderabad put up a total of 178 runs for CSK on the board.
After the first few overs, it felt that Sunrisers Hyderabad would walk away with the title back home as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Sandeep Sharma started off well. In fact, the first over bowled by Kumar was a maiden. Sharma even sent Faf du Plessis packing on 10 but it was after the first strategic timeout, that things started slipping away from Sunrisers Hyderabad. When Siddharth Kaul came to bowl, little did the SRH fans know that he would bowl all the bad balls for a final match. The game changed in the 7th over when the right- arm fast bowler conceded 16 runs. He was recalled in the 9th over where he once again gave away 16 runs. Sandeep Sharma in the 13th over gave away 27 runs with Shane Watson hitting three 6s in a row. Sharma and Kaul gave away 95 runs in 42 balls, which actually made you wonder which side were they actually playing for? (Watch the video highlights of the match here)
Kaul bowled 3 overs and gave away 43 runs, whereas Sandeep Sharma conceded 52 runs claiming 1 wicket. His bowling even got Sunil Gavaskar agitated in the commentary box. He was heard saying, “Ever since Kaul has been selected for India he has been leaking runs. Whereas, Sharma only bowled short and full-length deliveries. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the two bowlers made it easier for CSK to walk away with the victory as more than half of the runs were given away by these two men. Shane Watson made his second 100 this season and Chennai Super Kings walked away with the last laugh. (Check out the full scorecard here).
