MA Chidambaram Stadium Pitch Report

The stadium is known for its sporting pitch, which has something for both batsmen and bowlers. It is generally dry and provides grip for spinners. As the match progresses it tends to slow down a bit, which makes stroke playing a bit difficult in the second innings. The strike rate also drops marginally in the second innings to 129.4 from 136.3. Hence most teams choose to bat first after winning the toss.
