CSK Squad for IPL 2020: Sam Curran Goes to Chennai Super Kings For 5.5 Crore at the Auctions

After playing with the Kings XI Punjab last year at the IPL 2019, Sam Curran was released by the team ahead of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. The all-rounder will now be donning the yellow jersey and will be seen playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2020.

After playing with the Kings XI Punjab last year at the IPL 2019, Sam Curran was released by the team ahead of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. The all-rounder will now be donning the yellow jersey and will be seen playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2020. Sam Curran had played nine matches for the team scoring 95 runs with 55 runs unbeaten as the highest score. He had snapped 10 wickets and bowled at an economy of 9.78. In the last season, Sam Curran was bought in a whopping Rs. 7.2 crore. Curran will be joining forces with the likes of Michael Santner and Deepak Chahar. The Chennai Super Kings welcomed him with a hilarious tweet with the South Indian superstar  Rajinikanth. Sam Curran has so far been the fourth most expensive player for the day. Pat Cummins was the most expensive player for the day as he was bagged by the Kolkata Knight Riders. As of now, the Chennai Super Kings has a total sum of Rs 9.10 crore left in his kitty. It would be interesting to watch who else would be picked up for the Yellow Army. So far, Yusuf Pathan, Chesteswar Pujara and Hanuma Vihari remained unsoled.
