Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday (November 27) rebuffed reports of MS Dhoni’s exit from the IPL franchise after next two editions of Indian Premier Leagues. CSK tweeted the popular words of Indian Journalist Arnab Goswami in reply to rumours. Many stories claimed that Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be playing for Chennai Super Kings for just two seasons. According to rumours, MS Dhoni will only play for CSK in IPL 2020 and IPL 2021. However, CSK informed that these are just rumours and have nothing to do with reality. CSK shared a story on Twitter which read, “MS Dhoni wants to leave CSK? Former captain could join rival team in IPL 2021”. In reply, CSK tweeted “No, the nation knows that!”. The rumours suggested that MS Dhoni has urged Chennai Super Kings to release him out of the team after IPL 2021 and buy him again for a cheaper price in the auctions of next editions. However, CSK has hit a helicopter shot to dismiss the news with the tweet. Arbab Goswami used to say this popular dialogue ‘nation wants to know’ during his earlier Show ‘The Newshour’.
MS Dhoni has not played for India since India’s unfortunate exit from ICC World Cup 2019. MS Dhoni was not part of India vs West Indies Series 2019, India vs South Africa Series 2019 and India vs Bangladesh Series 2019. MS Dhoni has led CSK since the start of IPL in 2008. Under MS Dhoni’s leadership, CSK has won three IPL titles in 2010, 2011 and 2018.
