Asian Games 2023 is around the corner. The marquee event will be slated to take place in Hangzhou in September. In a bid to go for glory, BCCI has decided to send a full-strength women’s squad for the Asian Games. Harmanpreet Kaur will be the designated captain of the side with Smriti Mandhana playing the role of her deputy. However, the Indian Cricket Board will be sending a second-string Indian men's cricket team for the marquee event as the veteran players will be involved in the preparation of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, which is slated to get underway on October 5.
