The much-anticipated Asian Games 2023 is all set to get underway in September. The upcoming edition of the continental multi-sport event in China will be quite special as it will mark the third appearance of Cricket in the Asian Games. The Asian Games 2023 cricket tournament will get underway on September 19 and will end on October 7. BCCI has opted to field a second-string Indian men’s cricket team for the marquee event as the senior players will be indulged in the preparation of the ODI World Cup 2023. Ruturaj Gaikwad will be the leader of the troops for the Men in Blue in the Continental Games. However, the Indian Cricket Board will be sending a power-packed women’s squad for the global event under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur.
