Often in the heat of the moment, the players on the field of play cross the line while enjoying their celebration. Another similar incident took place at a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2018 match, on August 9, between St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Guyana Amazon Warriors. This time it was Pakistan’s Sohail Tanvir, who was guilty!

In a Twenty20 match between St Kitts and Guyana, on Thursday, it was the latter’s speedster that showed a ‘double middle-finger’ to the batsman (Ben Cutting) after bowling him behind his legs. The incident happened during the 17th over of the match.

Sohail Tanvir, who ended the match with figures 4-0-24-1, was quite frustrated when he dismissed Ben Cutting. There hasn’t been any update of reprimand by the match referee or any concerned authority.

It was a clear case of crossing the line of decency. However, there hasn’t been any update on any punishment levelled against the Guyana Amazon’s bowler, yet.

St Kitts scored 146/5 in the first innings, with the pick of their batsman being Chris Gayle. The Universal Boss scored 86 runs off 65 balls in which he hit 7 fours and 5 sixes.

In their reply, the Guyana team chased down the total in 17 overs only, with the loss of 4 wickets.
