Gayle continues to be one of the dangerous batsmen in the limited-overs cricket. The left-hander has led Jamaica Tallawahs to CPL title triumphs before representing St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Gayle holds the record of highest score by a batsman in a T20 match. The left-hander during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against now-defunct Pune Warriors India, scored unbeaten 175.

The hard-hitting batsman has an impressive T20 career. In 335 T20 matches, Gayle has scored 11454 runs, including 21 centuries and 70 half-centuries. He has also picked 78 wickets with his off-break.

Gayle will be hoping for a better CPL season this year. In the fifth edition of CPL, Gayle scored 376 runs from 12 matches, which included four half-centuries. Overall in CPL, Gayle has played 55 matches and has scored 1828 runs, which includes three centuries and 12 half-centuries. He apparently is the top run-scorer in the history of CPL as well.
