Kusal Mendis and Pathum Nissanka have played sensible cricket after Kusal Perera's dismissal. They have rotated strike with ease and scored timely boundaries.

Mohammed Rizwan put up an exhibition of his flamboyant stroke play and helped Pakistan post 252 runs on the board. Rizwan smashed 86 runs off 73 deliveries. Iftikhar Ahmed also played his part and scored 47 off 40 balls. The game is nicely poised at the half-way mark.

Fifty for Mohammad Rizwan !  When Pakistan were in precarious situation, the wicketkeeper-batter showed his class and notched up a terrific half-century. He achieved the feat in just 48 balls.

The game has resumed after a small rain delay. However, three more overs have been reduced and the match is now a 42-over contest. Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed would look form a steady partnership and take their team out of trouble.

Out! Dunith Wellalage has weaved his magic and removed Babar Azam. Wellalage outfoxed the Pakistan skipper with a lovely delivery and Kusal Mendis's brilliant glovework resulted in Babar's stumping dismissal.

Abdullah Shfique and Babar Azam have steadied the ship after the first wicket. The duo would look to carry on the good work and look to lay a good platform for the batters to come.

Abdullah Shafique and Fakhar Zaman are the two openers for Pakistan. This has been a cautious start for Pakistan with Abdullah getting a life after the ball fell short of mid-on fielder.  Mahesh Theekshana shared the new ball with Pramod Madushan for Sri Lanka.
