Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) batsman Chris Gayle had a pretty decent Indian Premier League 2018 (IPL 2018) season considering no team made an effort to snap the Jamaican in first two rounds at the auction earlier this year. Eventually, KXIP picked the left-hander at a base price of INR 2 crore. Gayle's selection proved to be a good move for the Punjab franchise. He scored 368 runs at an average of 40.88 from 11 matches. He also was the first batsman to score a hundred in the IPL 2018, besides the lone century the left-hander also smashed three half-centuries.
Now that the IPL is over, the 'Universe Boss' as he is fondly called was seen teaching some dance steps to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Shikhar Dhawan and Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma at a recent event. IPL 2018 Diaries: Watch Chris Gayle Dance to the Tunes of a Punjabi Number.
After both the Indian cricketers copied Gayle’s dance step, Dhawan returned the favour by teaching him his trademark 'Jatt Ji Style' celebration. Gayle, who ended up as second-highest run-scorer for Kings XI Punjab, was seen wearing a white turban as he had fun with Dhawan and Rohit on the stage.

Dhawan too had a decent outing with the bat as he finished with 497 runs from 16 matches at an average of 38.23. The SRH opener managed to register four fifty-plus scores as well. Rohit, on the other hand, had a contrasting season. All, MI skipper could manage was 286 runs from 14 matches. For the first time, Rohit failed to go past 300-run mark in a single season of IPL. Rohit’s poor form has had a direct effect on Mumbai’s campaign, who started the tournament as defending champions but failed to make it to playoffs.
