Chris Gayle smashed a 41-ball 72 in what seemed to be his final ODI appearance for the West Indies at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain on Wednesday. The 39-year-old, whose innings comprised of five massive sixes walked-off to a standing ovation from the crowd. Gayle was congratulated by the Indian team players as he left the field after being dismissed by Khaleel Ahmed. Indian players led by captain Virat Kohli shook hands with the left-hander as he walked-off with Kohli even doing the famous high-five with Gayle. Gayle set the stage on fire with a swashbuckling inning before he was caught by Virat Kohli from the bowling of Khaleel Ahmed in the 12th over. Gaule also brought up West Indies' first opening century-run partnership since February 2014 during his stay at the crease in his possible final ODI innings.
