Indian Premier League (2018) is a couple of months away but the excitement quotient around it has already been set abuzz. The 11th VIVO IPL Player Auction saw a lot of team dynamics change and surprise selections in the teams’ squads. One of the most surprising moments in the IPL player Auction was that of Chris Gayle. The Universal Boss, as he likes to call himself, was set at a base price of Rs. 2 Cr. No franchise bid for the swashbuckling opener in the first three rounds, before being bought by Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the last round on Day 2.

Just as when it seemed that it was the end of Chris Gayle’s IPL’s career, he was given a lifeline by Preity Zinta-owned franchise. Known for his extraordinary celebratory style, the Jamaican posted a video on his social media (Instagram) account, with his team-mate Andre Russel.

There are short two clips in the post, which shows how Gayle taunts Russell of being a Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) player will not be able to play him (a player of a rival franchise – KXIP). The funny video shows they both try to shake their leg and try to do a Bhangra-dance move.

Chris Gayle challenges Andre Russell to a duel and eventually dismisses him. Gayle breaks into the typical Punjabi celebration, shouting Bruaaaahaah, and taunts Russell again. The video is a clear message that Gayle is already relishing being a Punjabi munda, leaving all the drama at the IPL Auction 2018 behind. Stay tuned for all the updates of Indian Premier League 2018.
