Chennai Super Kings to Donate the Proceedings From the Match Against RCB to the Martyrs of Pulwama Attack

The first game of the Indian Premier League is scheduled to happen tomorrow in Chennai, where Chennai Super Kings will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore. The hosts are all set to donate the earnings from the first match to the martyrs of the Pulwama attack, which happened on February 14, 2019. The attack claimed the lives of 40 CRPF men and the responsibility of the attack was taken by the terrorist outfit called Jaish-E-Mohammed. The BCCI, Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab and several other cricketing bodies chipped into donating to the families of the martyrs. MS Dhoni, the captain of Chennai Super Kings will present the cheque to the families of the martyrs. Talking about the team, CSK had played a practice match a few days ago at the Chepauk stadium where 12,000 fans turned out to watch the players live in action. Chennai Super Kings have won the three titles in the Indian Premier League history so far. Team CSK retained their core squad and have members like MS Dhoni, Dwayne Bravo, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja.
