West Indies Cricket team all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite played the inning of his life against New Zealand in ICC Cricket World Cup (CWC), 2019. He scored a brilliant century where he made 101 runs from 82 balls. However, the "Remember the Name" star could not take his team across the line and West Indies ended up on the losing side, falling short of 6 runs from the target. Meanwhile, ahead of the India vs West Indies encounter at the world cup, Braithwaite posted a question on Twitter, "Where can I get a bat fixed in Manchester". Carlos Brathwaite registered his maiden ODI hundred during the West Indies vs New Zealand game of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The all-rounder reached his century from just 80 deliveries as he hit nine fours and five massive sixes. The 30-year-old, however, failed to carry his team over the line with West Indies falling short by just five runs, when they should have felt short by many more runs. From the verge of a big defeat to a realistic chance of winning and the the breaking of the dream, Brathwaite played one of the most dramatic innings in cricket. West Indies are out of the contention for a spot in the semi-finals of the world cups following back-to-back losses.
