Carlos Brathwaite registered his maiden ODI hundred during the West Indies vs New Zealand game of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The all-rounder reached his century from just 80 deliveries as he hit nine fours and five massive sixes. The 30-year-old, however, failed to carry his team over the line with West Indies falling short by just five runs, when they should have felt short by many more runs. From the verge of a big defeat to a realistic chance of winning and the the breaking of the dream, Brathwaite played one of the most dramatic innings in cricket. West Indies are out of the contention for a spot in the semi-finals of the world cups following back-to-back losses.
