The six participating teams in the league are Barbados Tridents, Jamaica Tallawahs, St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots, St. Lucia Zouks, Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors. So far, seven editions of CPL have taken place and the eighth one will carry even more significance as it will mark the return of many prominent players on the field. However, just like many other major sporting events, CPL 2020 will also take place behind closed doors due to the coronavirus scare. Also, the tournament will take place in only two stadiums: Brian Lara Cricket Academy (Trinidad & Tobago) and Queen's Park Oval (Port of Spain).
