Bhuvneshwar Kumar suffered a hamstring injury during the World Cup 2019 match against Pakistan due to which he had to leave the match midway. the Uttar Pradesh-based cricketer could only deliver 2.4 overs during India vs Pakistan match while giving out 8 runs. Just after the start of Pakistan’s batting, Bhuvi had to leave the field when Pakistan were 13/0 in 4.4 over. Bhuvneshwar’s over was completed by Vijay Shankar, who stunned everyone by taking a wicket on his very first ball in World Cup.
The hamstring injury also forced the 29-year-old bowler to skip the next World Cup 2019 clashes against Afghanistan and West Indies, and Mohammad Shami was included in the playing 11 in his absence. However, on Tuesday, BCCI had shared a video on Twitter in which the 17th ranked ODI bowler was seen practising in the nets. The video proved that the Indian has recovered from his injury and will be part of the Indian team again in World Cup 2019.
